Korea institute of radiological & medical sciences (KIRAMS) said it signed a cooperation agreement with AMI Technology Co., Ltd. for export cooperation with cyclotron in 4th August 2016

Both organizations plan to jointly promote overseas export of 13MeV and 30MeV cyclotron developed by the medical institute and jointly promote overseas export of cyclotron-based radiopharmaceutical production facilities.

 

KIRAMS developed KIRAMS-13, the first cyclotron for cancer diagnosis in Korea, and localized medical accelerators in 2012. KIRAMS-30, a medium-sized cyclotron for the production of radioactive isotopes, was installed at the Jeongeup Advanced Radiation Research Institute In 2007.

KIRAMS-13, which is the first medical cyclotron in Korea, was exported to Vietnam in 2007. "KIRAMS-30 is currently in talks with Malaysia, Kuwait and Indonesia on export and technology transfer." said.
